iLearn Schools celebrates 15 years of high quality education

GARFIELD, NJ – APRIL 13, 2022 – On Thursday, May 26, 2022, iLearn Schools will hold its first gala celebrating 15 years of delivering high quality education. In addition to this, they will also honor two individuals and two organizations who are committed to supporting iLearn Schools mission – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, President and CEO of the New Jersey Public Charter School Association Harry Lee and Executive Director of the New York Charter Schools Association Yomika S. Bennett. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the iLearn Schools Scholarship Fund to benefit our high school students.

Founded in 2007, iLearn Schools opened Bergen Arts and Science Charter Schools in Garfield, NJ as a K-5 school with 300 students. Today, it has grown into a network of 14 schools in northern New Jersey and the Bronx, New York, reaching approximately 5,000 students each year. iLearn Schools provides students with access to high-quality STEAM-based educational and experiential opportunities to help them succeed in college, career, and life.

The event will be hosted by Ms Alicia Quarles. Ms Quarles runs her own multimedia business and is currently a contributor to Good Morning America 3 as well as Senior Correspondent for DailyMail TV. Quarles previously worked as a correspondent for E News (NBC). She joined E from the Associated Press where she was editor of global entertainment and lifestyles, overseeing a team of more than 60 people. While at the AP, she played a vital role in covering President Obama’s inaugurations, helping to announce the death of Whitney Houston, covering the death of Michael Jackson and its aftermath, and confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court of Sonia Sotomayor.

The gala includes a silent auction, remarks from the winners, presentation of the scholarship and dancing. It is scheduled for May 26, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights Meadowlands.
