Effective March 4, 2022, until rescinded: Mendocino County Health Officer’s Order rescinding the wearing of face coverings in indoor public places by all persons in response to the rise of COVID-19 and the the spread of the Delta variant. Strong recommendation to continue interior masking for the time being. However, indoor masking is still mandatory in certain settings such as schools, healthcare facilities and public transport. Sidewalk Gardens in Bragg

The Fort Bragg Garden Club knows there are many beautiful yards in our community. The Garden Club’s 13th Annual “Sidewalk Gardens to Bragg About” competition recognizes and honors these gardens and the gardeners who lovingly maintain them. Anytime before May 20, name a beautiful yard – yours or someone else’s – if it’s within the city limits of Fort Bragg, can be seen from the sidewalk, and is a pleasant space outside. eye and well maintained. From May 23-28, members of the Fort Bragg Garden Club will judge gardens based on visual appeal, plant variety and health, design and maintenance. Visiting Mr. Green

Visiting Mr. Green is the current production of the Mendocino Theater Company which runs Thursday through Sunday through May 29. Ross Gardiner, a young corporate executive, is given community service to help elderly Jewish widower Mr. Green once a week for 6 months. What begins as a comedy about two men who don’t want to be in the same room together becomes a gripping and moving drama as they get to know each other.

COVID test in the tent

Held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mendocino Coast Clinics at 205 South Street, Fort Bragg, CA.

Free clothing exchange on Friday

Every Friday (weather permitting) from 11 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Fort Bragg Food Bank team of staff and volunteers will be out front at 910 North Franklin Street to sort clothes for Free Friday Clothing Pop Up Swap, open for customers and community members to come by to browse and take home – all for free.

Friday Skating Night

Friday nights from 7-9pm there is Family Skating Night at the Old Rec Gym in Fort Bragg – 213 E Laurel St. The cost is $5 per day and participants under 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian. For questions, call 707 964-9446.

Fort Bragg Vaccination Clinic

On Monday, Mendocino County Public Health at 120 West Fir Street in Fort Bragg offers all vaccines, including 3rd doses for immunocompromised individuals and boosters. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch. Sign up for an appointment at MyTurn.gov. A parent or legal guardian must print and sign a consent for minors for the Pfizer vaccine. Go to mendocinocountypublichealth.org and click on Consent Form.

Fort Bragg COVID test

COVID testing is available at Fort Bragg outside the Veterans Building on Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The location is 383 North Harrison Street.

Tuesday under the tent

Every week it’s Tuesdays under the Mendocino Coast Clinics Tent from 2-5pm. All vaccines are available, including 3rd doses for the immunocompromised and boosters. This is a drive-thru in the white tent on the north side of the clinic, no appointment necessary. Boosters are now available for children aged 12 and over, if it has been at least 6 months since their second dose if they received Moderna or Pfizer, or at least 2 months if they received Johnson & Johnson. Parental consent is required for anyone under the age of 18 to receive a vaccine. Please follow all signage and instructions for the Tuesday Immunization Clinic, and please do not arrive early.

Fort Bragg COVID test

The Mendocino Coast Clinic is offering free COVID monitoring testing (for people with no symptoms) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. These are different tests and are handled differently. If you have symptoms, call the clinic at 707-964-1251 to get evaluated and see if you need to be tested. If you have been exposed, please wait 3-4 days before asking to be tested. You will not get a true result if the test is performed too soon after exposure. The location is 205 South Street.

Albion Pantry

The pantry will be open on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is located in Albion behind the Albion grocery store and the US post office.

Fort Bragg Farmers Market
